Brendon Holt was born in Montana, but has spent most of his life in the Pacific Northwest region of Washington state. His current photographic work focuses primarily on black and white landscape and nature photography of the Pacific Northwest region, while trading the grand vistas that have largely defined the aesthetic since Ansel Adams for a more intimate treatment, as well as attempting to sidestep the literalism usually associated with the art of landscape photography to explore nature in a way that can perhaps elicit a deeper exploration of the subject matter. In addition to running around in the woods with a camera other interests include, but are not limited to, a long term relationship with German philosophy
